New Pastor Chosen to Lead Brownsville Baptist

We are excited to share some wonderful news with our church family.

The Lord has blessed us with a new pastor, and we are looking forward to welcoming Pastor Cary Shillcutt and his wife, Angela, to Brownsville Baptist Church later this month. We are thankful for how the Lord has led and are trusting Him for all that lies ahead.

Pastor Shillcutt is a retired Colonel, author, leadership coach, and faith-based personal development coach. He served for 34 years as an officer and leader in the Arkansas Army National Guard. He holds a degrees from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the U.S. Army War College. He provides leadership and personal development coaching, drawing from his Christian faith. He helped develop and grow the Immerse Discipleship Institute, with The Church at Rock Creek, where he is an instructor. He was recently ordained by The Church at Rock Creek and is looking forward to completing seminary soon.

He lives with his wife Angela in Little Rock.  They share a daughter and four sons and have two grandchildren and one on the way.

Please help us welcome Pastor Cary and Angela to Brownsville Baptist Church!

Mothers Day and Fathers Day

We look forward to taking time as a church family to honor and celebrate the blessings of mothers and fathers in our lives.

On Sunday, May 10, 2026, we will recognize and give thanks for our mothers—their love, guidance, and faithful care that shape our homes and families in so many meaningful ways.

Then on Sunday, June 21, 2026, we will honor our fathers, giving thanks for their strength, leadership, and the steady influence they provide.

We invite you to join us for these special services as we come together in gratitude, encouragement, and appreciation for the parents and role models who have made such a lasting impact on our lives.

VBS Sign Up

Please be in prayer for our Vacation Bible School – Emerald Crossing, July 12–15, 2026. We are looking forward to a sweet time with our children and know the Lord will bless it.

The VBS sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board, and we would love for everyone to find a place to help. We still need folks for:

  • Kitchen help

  • Crew leaders

  • Craft helpers

  • PreK

  • And several other spots

It truly takes our whole church family working together to make VBS special.

We are also gathering items for our VBS treasure chest, which the children always enjoy so much. If you would rather, you may give a monetary donation, and we will be glad to shop for you.

If you have any questions or would like to help, please see Kim Swint or Amy Keown.
